Erie, once home to coal mines, railroads and agriculture, today is a vibrant community comprised of many friendly neighborhoods. One of our friendliest neighborhoods is the Historic Downtown Business District. Downtown is the home of eclectic businesses and wonderful eateries. We invite you to take a stroll down Briggs Street to discover for yourself why Downtown Erie is swiftly becoming a restaurant destination for folks who love to eat great food. Downtown also plays host to some of our most colorful annual events such as the Erie Town Fair, the High School Homecoming Parade, the Eerie Erie 10k Halloween race, Biscuit Day and Oktoberfest. Downtown, like much of Erie, retains a comfortable small-town atmosphere that says 'welcome'

Erie's quality of life is exceptional, with a glorious 340 days of sunshine per year. You may take advantage of our wonderful weather by playing a round at Erie's new 18-hole championship golf course at Vista Ridge. Kids of all ages will enjoy the Town's Skate Park and other outdoor entertainment which is abundant with world-class ski resorts located within an hour's drive.

Mountain View Fire provides Fire/EMS services to the Town of Erie from our Station #6. As with all of our communities, MVFPD works closely with the Town of Erie on current and future plans. The Fire District has participated in many of the special events sponsored by the Town of Erie.
