MVFPD | Communities Served - City of Dacono

Dacono was incorporated on May 21, 1908. Charles Baum named the City by choosing the first two letters from three ladies' names: Daisy, Cora and Nora to form Dacono.

Dacono is a friendly, growing community of approximately 3,700 people in southern Weld County, 20 miles north of Denver, Colorado. This area is also commonly known as the Carbon Valley or Tri-Town area.

Mountain View Fire provides service to the entire City of Dacono and our Station #7 is located within the city limits.  MVFPD is the sole provider of fire protection and medical transport for all Dacono residents.  The City of Dacono and the Fire District enjoy a positive working relationship.  MVFPD works closely with the City on fire prevention, plan reviews, special events, blood pressure checks as well as day to day activities.  At this time, Mountain View Fire is working on plans to re-build Station #7.
