The safety committee was started to look at ways of preventing and/or reducing accidents. They review accidents and if needed have them investigated to determine cause and look at ways to reduce or limit. The group sends out safety news letters reminding people of safety procedures to follow and items that may help the members of the Fire District do their jobs as safe as possible.

Who oversees the group: 
The group reports to Deputy Chief Pischke. The District Safety Officers are repressented by the two training captains and BC Captain Rademacher is the committee chair.

Goals of the Safety Committee: 
The goals are to reduce the number and severity of injuries and accidents. This will be accomplished through training and new and improved equipment.
