The Mountain View Fire Protection District Operations Division oversees all 911 emergency and non-emergency responses. Deputy Chief Mark Lawley directs the Operations Division.
The Mountain View Fire Protection District operations division is responsible for the care and safety of 50,000 permanent residents and a commuting population of more than 60,000 daily. The District has seven fire station located strategically throughout its 184 square mile district.
The District Operations Division has both career and volunteer personnel assigned to it. The operational responses include all fires, emergency medical calls, hazardous material responses, accidents and public assist calls. The Division staffs 5 stations 24 hours a day with career and volunteer personnel, and operates four advanced life support transport units.
The Operations Division has a number of resources available to it at any given time. Below is a list of apparatus that serve the citizens of Mountain View. In addition, the District has mutual aid agreements with all neighboring jurisdictions.
